Can that even exist?

During my usual facebook browsing, I came across a good friend of mine's statuses and it started a little bit of conversation in response.

The first one was "so this woman back home askes me, "WHy dont you have a girlfriend?"...first thing that came out ma mouth was..."I Go to School in the AUC." lol...damn shame"

That's something to think about, cause there's an air of truth to it. The poster's response to questions about the typical AUC woman was

"I dont think there is any, "typical" auc woman, and theres nothing particularly wrong with any woman in the auc, i mean sure, you got ugly ones, annoying ones, horrible dressed ones, the whores, etc. but you have those at every school. theres just something about the AUC that makes relationships a lot more difficult. it could be the fact that were right up under on another, could be there are too many options for both men and women in the auc and ppl cant seem to get they shyt right. But its just rare to find a good auc relationship. and if there is one,m, please believe, they have been thru they shyt."

But it's true. The real reason why AUC relationships don't usually work is because we're right up on each other all the time. There's no space and the degree of seperation can't be more than 3 people. Good for networking, bad for privacy. Even the people who aren't doing each other dirty get caught up in some drama eventually.

Shit like that. When people talk, we listen and our inner doubts and fears manifest themselves into something that's not even there. I'm not even gonna front like I haven't bit into the forbidden fruit given by the AUC. I've had an interest in someone significant and taken a walk down the strip and just had my jaw dropped. It's like as soon as you like someone, and they start feelin you back, the BADDEST people of the opposite sex come out the woodwork. The temptation is crazy.

Is there a solution to our common problem? And if you don't feel this is your problem, you're in the minority.

The short answer is maturity. Understanding that to make something work and make it lasts takes too mature people fully aware of their surroundings. Your relationship will be tried but are you capable enough and mature enough to work it out?

The trick now is to find someone else who's mature and not just faux mature. Dating up or down doesn't matter, cause age isn't an indicator, trust me.

Relationships...Do you love em or do you hate em?

They don't work out for me, and they don't seem to work out for most of the people I know
